GiveAway Time is Here!

and just in time for the holidays too! Lucky you.
I decided since this is my blog, I can change my mind, and I have. Instead of looking at this (like previously mentioned)
I'm just not a curtain person. I picked these cute little panels up in Round Top a few weeks ago and would like to use them, but I'm struggling. I've decided not to put you all through the pain, I'll just show you the results when it's done - probably another 6 months from now!Anyway, I'm having you look at this:I crafted it one day earlier in the month when I was feeling feisty with a pair of scissors and not so much love for a blue sweater I'd had forever. I decided to cut it up the front, add bias tape to the edges, add lace to the front, and a cool vintage button on top.

Problem is, my hubby thinks it's utterly hideous. I mean, he doesn't think it should be worn out of the house, it's so bad. I've already slung it on a few mornings when it's still dark outside to haul my girl to school in the wee hours.

Do you all think it's that bad????

You have to vote, that's the thing. That's it. You tell me, is it really that bad? If so, I promise never to wear it out again, period. If not, well, it may end up being my go to cardigan this winter. I will willfully accept the results.

So, here's what you have to do:

#1 Leave a comment, either Yay, or Nay on the sweater

#2 AND go to my Etsy Shop site check out what's for sale, and what's been sold and tell me your favorite.

Easy Peasy. If you post about the Giveaway and link me from your blog, I'll give you another entry.

What do you win???? That's really what you're after, I know!

You win a crocheted hat - either in child's size or baby's size - just let me know in your comments which you'd prefer. I'll pick the exact hat once the contest is over.

I'll accept entries starting today, Monday the 27th, thru Friday the 31st.....

Each entry will be place in a hat, and one winner will be drawn on Saturday morning.

You don't have to be a blogger to enter, just provide me with a valid e-mail address.

If the winner doesn't respond within 3 business days, another winner will be drawn.

Be sure to check out Bloggy Carnival for more Giveaways!

Good Luck!

You are so talented. Beautiful.
A Child's Crochet Hat with Vintage Yo Yo, please. :) Thank you.

I think the sweater is a little dowdy but if you put some contrasting funky colored ribbon trim between the lace stripes it could be very Anthropologie. Just sayin'.

Roo would totally love a crocheted hat!

I love that crocheted hat! It would love adorable on my daughter!

Yay on the sweater. Lace the sleeves add Naomi's ribbon trim or yo yos and it will be to die for. Checked out the Etsy shop and Love, Love, Love the Senorita Cafe Apron. I love all things vintage too. I know a lot of 5 year olds who could use a hat.

Um, I'm with the hubby on this one. sorry

susan said...

hideous, no. a bit frumpy, i guess. if you can take off the two side lace bits, and leave the ones on the front edge, it would be ok
since when do we listen to what our men say about our clothes anyhoo??? hmmmm??

susan said...

forgot to say i love the wee baby crochet hat in brown!!
so adorable

Linda said...

I'm in for a child's crocheted hat. Love your things on etsy!
As for the sweater... I think it needs something. I'm terrible at stuff like that. It's not horrible but it could be wonderful!
Thanks!

I think you should remove the two pieces of lace trim on the side. They look kind of sloppy to me, but I like it otherwise!
And I love the half apron with the zebra print...so cute! I'm in for a baby crochet hat (for an adorable niece of mine :D )

Nay. Your husband is correct. I can say that because I create hideous things all the time:-) On the other hand....These caps are WONDERFUL!

My favorite from your etsy shop is definitely the ruffled tiered child apron in blues.....

Something about a kid in an apron!

I am torn on the sweater, I think you could really make it look great with the right other accessories or it could go all wrong....So I will say.....YAY- because after looking at your etsy I can see you have wonderful taste so I bet you will pair it up with some nice stuff!

Bringing me to my second point, it was hard to choose- I thought I would just go for the hat cause my one year old would look adorable in one- but man those retro aprons are awesome! Here is my fav if I HAVE to pick: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=16177443

yay if you make it sexy with a cami under neath and some jeans- if you throw it on over a tshirt nope

Lori said...

It's my craziness, but I think the sweater would be great if the neckline was crew or high collar, just to make it more vintage than crafty. Otherwise I love the ornamentation on the front.

I vote yes for the sweater. Though, if your hubby is all about high society, then I could understand him not wanting you to wear it. In which case, it's still a perfect cuddle up on a cold day and read a good book kind of sweater.

From your shop, I love the Baby Boy's Set - Diaper/Wipe Case and Burp Clothe/Changing Pad.

Not a big fan of the sweater. If it had only the lace where the buttons go, that would be ok, but I think it's a bit much the way it is now. If you like it, more power to you, who cares what we say?!

I love the baby boy burp cloth gift set you have in your shop. The bright colors are very catching.

My daughter would love to win one of the crotched hats you have in there.

Thanks for the chance to win. Come check out my giveaways, too:
